At 1200 hours on 3 October 1988, an enemy bulldozer was observed improving the road in the area of Kati Rash, 800 m from the forward perimeter of the units of our V Army Corps. At the same time, the enemy was building a new position opposite our units in the area of Kati Rash, 500 m from the forward perimeter of our units, and a number of enemy soldiers were seen advancing towards that position.
