High-Level Meetings of the 76th Session
Provisional schedule
The practical arrangements for the conduct of the general debate and the high-level meetings and of the 76th session of the General Assembly will be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the holding of meetings and how they are conducted, and the number of attendees. All changes will be reflected in the UN Journal and on the Meetings schedule.

Some members proposed that if CPF heads and principals of their organizations are not available for the meeting, their representatives should come to the meeting being authorized to make decision with regard to the new CPF vision on their behalf.
Key actions to be taken:
▪ Members will provide concrete comments and suggestions to chapter 8 and 9 of the draft consultants’ report by 20 September 2019;
▪ UNFF consultants will revise the draft report for consideration by the working group, taking into account the discussion held at the CPF meeting and written inputs to be provided by members;
▪ The secretariat will circulate a timetable for the development of the draft proposal for the vision and CPF-UNFF meeting schedules and deadlines;
▪ The Chair in consultation with the secretariat will propose the draft programme of the meeting of the working group scheduled to be held on 15 November 2019 at UNHQ, Geneva;
▪ Members will inform the availability of their head/principal to participate in the meeting of CPF Heads and Principals tentatively scheduled to be held on 27 January 2020 at FAO, Rome.
4. (...) It was noted that any action related to membership should be taken in a systematic manner and in line with the Policy Document and the Rules of Procedure.

▪ Members will meet on 7 May on the margins of UNFF13 to finalize the workplan; once finalized, UNFFS will circulate the workplan to UNFF13 participants;
▪ The Chair will circulate presentation slides of the CPF workplan and finalize it based on members’ comments and suggestions.

The idea of organizing a workshop for CPF Heads and Principals was raised to discuss joint fundraising for the CPF Joint Initiatives.
Key actions to be taken:
▪ The consultants will revise their proposal for the vision, taking into account discussions held at the CPF working group meeting;
▪ The Secretariat will, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a zero draft proposal of the vision, taking into account the consultants’ proposal and discussions held at the CPF working group meeting;
▪ The Chair will send the draft programme of the meeting of the CPF Heads and Principals scheduled to be held on 27 January 2019 at FAO HQ, Rome and an invitation letter to the CPF Heads and Principals.

UNFCCC outlined the schedules of forest-related events to be held during the UNFCCC COP25 in Madrid, Spain, including: the COP25 President’s high-level event on forests scheduled on 5 December 2019; the UN Secretary- General’s high-level event on forests with support of FAO, UNDP and UNEP tentatively scheduled for 12 December (FAO offered to provide information as it becomes available); UNFCCC REDD+ side event; and UNFF event on forests scheduled on 11 December 2019.

Members considered possible timings of the next meeting of the CPF and decided to meet on 28 January 2020 at FAO HQ, Rome, following the meeting of the CPF Heads and Principals.

▪ Members are invited to join the peer-review group for the 2020 State of the World's Forests report and inform FAO of their interests.
▪ The Chair in consultation with the Secretariat will propose the draft programme of the next meeting of the CPF scheduled to be held on 28 January 2019 at FAO HQ, Rome.

Other ideas suggested included: sharing information on resource needs of the CPF activities with potential donor countries in advance of the donor meetings; inviting key donor agencies to the donor meetings in addition to donor countries’ focal point ministries; and organization of donor meetings at the location of donor countries and agencies.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The following meeting rotational schedule was developed and approved by the MEVA Members during the MEVA TMG/29 Meeting with conclusion MEVA TMG/29/19.
Action: Suggested actions are listed in Section 4.

a) United States to confirm their availability to host the MEVA TMG/34 on 2019;
