for universal access to health services and social security, the necessary adjustments
are being made to guarantee access by the poorest population groups to health
services;
• The National Plan for Cancer Awareness, Prevention, Early Diagnosis and Treatment
is in the process of being approved;
• A pilot project on centres for the prevention and early diagnosis of cancer and other
diseases is now under way;
• Coordination with cooperating agencies will be strengthened in order to ensure the
incorporation of a rights-based approach in sexual and reproductive health plans and
programmes.
