As part of the $1.9 billion, a trust fund of up to $60 million dollars is being created for a scholarship fund for Native American students. (...) In addition to the Cobell case, which concerns trust funds for individual Indians, a number of tribes have sued the federal government in federal district courts and the Court of Federal Claims claiming failure to provide accountings of tribal trust funds and trust assets, and mismanagement of those funds and assets.
