The 20 16 ICTR report was thc last onc after it closed its operations on 3 1 December 20 15. From 1 January 20 16, formal liquidation activities started under the Liquidation Team up to July 20 16, followed by the administrative liquidation process under thc Mechanisms which continued up to January 20 17 when the ICTR was fully amalgamated with thc Mechanism. Reported issues there fore include managemen t or the liquidation process, and follow up of thc outstanding issues. As the ICTR has been tully closed recommendations are directed to the Mechanism mostly as lesson Icarnt and to ensure that thc activities le tt behind are finalised ex peditiously.

In 2004, the Chinese Ministry of Health and Kadoorie Foundation in Hong Kong launched a rural community health project with the purpose of improving the overall conditions of THCs in rural China.
The purpose of this study was to assess the level of job satisfaction among health care workers in THCs in rural China covered by the project and to identify the determinants of job satisfaction and to develop strategies to improve job satisfaction, motivation and retention of the staff in the THCs.
