Article 4 1. States shall take all appropriate measures to eliminate all forms of discrimination against peasant women and other women working in rural areas and to promote their empowerment in order to ensure, on the basis of equality between men and women, that they fully and equally enjoy all human rights and fundamental freedoms and that they are able to freely pursue, participate in and benefit from rural economic, social, political and cultural development. 2. (...) Such organizations shall be independent and voluntary in character, and remain free from all interference, coercion or repression. 2. (...) States shall consider measures to strengthen relevant national institutions for the promotion and protection of all human rights, including the rights described in the present Declaration. 5.

All the world population goes through challenging time due to the outbreak of new COVID-19 infection. (...) A/HRC/44/G/24 GE.20-10730 6 Federica Mogherini (served from November 2014 to November 2019) on 6 October 2017, on behalf of the EU Commission to the question on Metsamor NPP, where she says, “The EU is fully aware of the risks posed by the Metzamor Nuclear Power Plant (MNPP). Therefore, a swift closure and decommissioning of the MNPP remains a key objective for the EU and the European Neighbourhood Policy Action Plan, as this power plant cannot be upgraded to meet internationally recognized nuclear safety standards.”8 However, it seems that Armenia has no intention to close the plant and continues to use it for own manipulative aims.

In that resolution, the General Assembly noted that damage to the environment in times of armed conflict impairs ecosystems and natural resources long beyond the period of conflict, and recalled in particular Article 2, paragraph 4, of the Charter of the United Nations, according to which all Member States shall refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity of any State in their international relations. Earlier, in 1992, in its resolution 47/37, entitled "Protection of the environment in times of armed conflict", the General Assembly urged States to take all measures to ensure compliance with the existing international laws applicable to the protection of the environment in times of armed conflict. (...) May 2016, theUnited Nations Environment Assembly adopted a resolution on the protection of the environment in areas affected by armed conflict, reaffirming, inter alia, its strong commitment to the ful l implementation of the 2030 Agenda and stressing the importance of the implementation by all Member States of international law applicable to the protection of the environment in areas affected by armed conflict in line with their legal responsibilities.
