International solidarity should be understood as a broader concept that includes (a) sustainability in international relations, especially international economic relations; (b) the peaceful coexistence of all members of the international community; (c) equal partnerships and the equitable sharing of benefits and burdens; and (d) refraining from doing harm or posing obstacles to the greater well-being of others, including in the international economic system and to our common ecological habitat, for which all are responsible. (...) The Independent Expert thanks all of the above for their courtesies and the time shared with her. (...) There are currently 45 Research Centres on different themes all over the country, which have a presence through their so-called virtual laboratories in the United States, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the Republic of Korea.

Lastly, the Special Rapporteur wishes to thank all the people who took the time to meet with him and to help him better understand the situation concerning access to water and sanitation in the country. 3. (...) This means that every individual in the country is entitled to have the authorities take measures to ensure, as soon as possible, access to water and adequate sanitation that are accessible, available, affordable, acceptable and safe, in all spheres of life, including with the provision of dignity and privacy for sanitation. (...) The Government of Tajikistan is encouraged to intensify its efforts to increase investment in this area through all potential financial sources. 33. Sustainability is a fundamental human rights principle essential for realizing the human rights to water and sanitation.

He wishes to express his gratitude to all of his interlocutors, who provided him with an understanding of the environmental and displacement challenges in Maldives. (...) In the course of the Special Rapporteur’s interactions with IDPs, local and other actors, the NDMC clearly emerged as the key institutional reference point for all issues related to internal displacement and assistance. 29. Part of the issue concerned the decision of whether to regroup all the housing for the IDPs in a few clustered locations on the island, or whether they should be able to have homes reconstructed on each of the original plots.

The Government told the Special Rapporteur that the agreement was satisfactory to all sides and that the conflict was considered settled. (...) The so-called Mapuche conflict should be viewed from every angle, and all of its aspects, not just public safety, need to be considered.

Under the Minamata Convention, LFLs for general lighting purposes are restricted to 5 mg per lamp for triband phosphor lamps below 60 watts, with a phase-out date of 2020 for all lamps above the mercury limits. Halophosphate LFLs under 40 watts for general lighting purposes are restricted to 10 mg per lamp, with a phase-out date of 2020 for all lamps above these mercury limits. (...) Although transducers using mercury are still available in the EU, all EU manufacturers fully comply with the RoHS. (...) Mercury is collected and restored to the left reservoir. In this way almost all air can be removed from bulb B and by extension vessel R.

The Special Rapporteur was unable to visit all of the places he had hoped to, although he was able to visit a number of locations across the vast territory of the Russian Federation. (...) The rise and fall of communism carries epic historical significance for all Russians, but was especially traumatic to the situation of indigenous peoples. (...) Most of the land and subsoil resources in Russia are currently the property of the State. All issues concerning ownership, use and allocation of land, mineral resources, water and other natural resources are jointly administered by the federal and regional Governments.
