Deux instruments de ce type ont été mis en place, l’un au Centre de radioastronomie (Institut Tata de recherche fondamentale) à Udhagamandalam (Ooty), l’autre au radio-observatoire de Gauribidanur de l’Institut indien d’astrophysique; b) Atmospheric Weather Educational System for Observation and Modeling of Effects (AWESOME) qui est un récepteur pour la télédétection par ondes myriamétriques de la basse atmosphère, fourni par l’Université Standford.
