REPORT OF THE COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE : PROPOSAL / BY THE PRESIDENT
The secretariat shall forthwith notify the Party concerned of the decision. 3. A question of implementation referred by the enforcement branch to the facilitative branch shall not require a preliminary examination. 11. (...) Subject to section VI and without prejudice to section XVI, the facilitative branch may have a dialogue with the representative of the Party concerned. 2. Subject to sections VI and VII, the representative of the Party concerned may enter into a dialogue with the facilitative branch in order to seek advice and facilitation. 3. (...) The Party concerned, when choosing individuals to represent it during the hearing, should refrain from nominating individuals who were members or alternate members of the Committee in the two years preceding the date of the submission.

COMPOSITION, MODALITIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE TEAM OF TECHNICAL EXPERTS UNDER INTERNATIONAL CONSULTATIONS AND ANALYSIS : PROPOSAL / BY THE PRESIDENT
[On a voluntary basis, and at the request of the Party concerned, the TTE may be constituted to undertake the technical analysis of the BUR in the country of the requesting Party.] (...) The TTE shall respond to and incorporate the comments referred to in paragraph 13 above from the Party concerned and finalize, in consultation with the Party concerned, the summary report within three months of the receipt of the comments. (...) Where some of the additional information or data, including the data used by the Party concerned to prepare its BUR, requested by the team of experts in accordance with decision 2/CP.17, annex IV, paragraph 4, falls under confidentiality protection in accordance with the national legislation of the Party concerned, the Party shall inform the TTE thereof, indicating the reasons for classifying the information.]

Lebanon The Committee is concerned about the State party’s reluctance to withdraw its reservation to article 9, paragraph 2. (...) The Committee is further concerned about the persistence of discrimination in areas which are not adjudicated by the confessional courts, such as the marital property regime. (...) While recognizing the State party’s achievements in the area of women’s employment, the Committee reiterates its concern about the reservation, made upon ratification, to article 11, paragraph (1), of the Convention and remains concerned about the continuing vertical and horizontal occupational segregation; the persistent wage gap between women and men; and the lack of a legal definition and prohibition of sexual harassment.

In this regard, the Committee is particularly concerned at the role played by some political associations and parties in the rise of racism and xenophobia in the State party. (...) The Committee is also concerned that the overall legislative design of key provisions of the Criminal Code may not be sufficiently precise in relation to racist elements in crimes. (...) The Committee is concerned, in particular, about the delay in the passage of the proposed amendments to the Law of Marriage Act of 1971, inheritance laws, concerned that other legislation and customary laws that discriminate against women and are incompatible with the Convention remain in force, both in the Tanzanian mainland and in Zanzibar (CEDAW/C/TZA/CO/6).
