As a result, such high levels of migration create challenges for passing on cultural heritage from one generation to another. Another fact is that while islanders integrate well into their new host societies, many feel a longing to connect to the culture and community of their home countries. (...) In 2015, David Eichert and Dennis Redeker, while interning at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, thought about the uncertain future of island nations around the world - from the Caribbean to the Pacific - and they hoped that digital technologies could be an asset in safeguarding island cultures and communities. Out of these hopes, the Island Ark Project Foundation Inc. was founded to explore the ways in which the Internet can help preserve and foster cultural heritage by keeping people connected to each other. (...) In Palau, the project connected with a number of groups interested in digital ways of safeguarding intangible culture.

Hi, I am a student at the University of Roma3 in Rome. At the moment, I am doing some research for the writing of my thesis that will talk about the danger in wich the Syrian cultural heritage is. I read the presentation of the UNESCO project Officer for Syria, Cristina Menegazzi, in which she explained how UNESCO aims to address the protection of cultural heritage to avoid its growing and irremediable loss. (...) Sincerely, Chiara Pizzulli

The contributions migrants have made to Australian society, culture and economic development have shaped our nation.
The language skills, cultural knowledge, business networks and knowledge about foreign markets migrants bring have been invaluable to our development.

ALIPH is a Swiss-based foundation established in 2017 to protect cultural heritage in conflict and post
conflict areas. (...) My first question is therefore about a potential

religious and political radicals, but legal frameworks for religious monuments rarely allow for a
nuanced approach accommodating historical connections between religious communities.
