Women Deliver: Call for nominations

As we approach the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day (8 March 2011), we want to put a spotlight on the "Women Deliver 100: the most inspiring individuals delivering for women."

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Women Deliver is creating a list of advocates, activists, policymakers, artists, journalists, philanthropists, and overall change-makers who are truly “delivering for women.” (...) Deadline for suggestions is 20 January 2011.The final list will be posted on the Women Deliver website and in various media on 8 March 8 2011.

Stakeholders come together to find common message in India

22 July 2008, Delhi, India - Some 60 members of The Partnership/White Ribbon Alliance India collaboration, Deliver Now India, attended a day-long workshop to build consensus and agree on a common advocacy agenda for maternal, newborn and child health in India. The issues identified by the stakeholders are to be shared in the report with all partners and members to enable incorporation into their campaigns and interventions and the specific messages identified will be incorporated into the Deliver Now campaign

The 2010 Joint Conferences
In 2010, Countdown to 2015 and Women Deliver will join forces to achieve maximum impact: Women Deliver 2010 is a global conference to be held in Washington DC on June 7-9 which will focus on the theme "Delivering solutions for girls and women".The Countdown to 2015 will be held together with Women Deliver 2010 featuring special sessions dedicated to provide the latest evidence, country by country, on the progress, obstacles and solutions to achieving the Millennium Development Goals 4 & 5 for the health of women, newborns and children.

Women Deliver Conference 2010
The Countdown will issue a report and hold its conference together with Women Deliver 2010 to share the latest findings and policy and program recommendations on what needs to be done to accelerate progress towards the reduction of maternal, newborn and child mortality.
(...) Previous conferences were held by the Countdown to 2015 in Cape Town in April 2008, and Women Deliver in London in October 2007.
