While there was agreement on the use of “minimum juice content” and “colouring”, no agreement could be reached on the use of “minimum sugar content” and “minimum sugar/acid ratio” as well as on the figures for these criteria and figures for “minimum juice content” for certain products. 35. (...) The United States, supported by Chile, maintained their reservation (42%) because when testing 100 samples only 8 with a juice content of more than 42% had been found. The rapporteur agreed to review the figure of 42% minimum juice content for the next session.
