On Monday, 7 October 2019 the Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) organized a panel discussion Evaluation Policy for institutional effectiveness. The purpose of the event was to share the experiences related to the evolution of the evaluation policies and evaluation functions in development organizations.
The panel discussed the experiences of other international financial institutions such as the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank and the UK’s Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI).

On the impact of violence in the mental health of children, evidence from high-, middle- and low-income countries indicates clearly that violent experiences increase the risk of negative mental health consequences. (...) Exposure to adverse childhood experiences, such as violence, can be traumatic, evoking toxic stress responses that have immediate and long-term adverse physiological and psychological effects.
(...) The report reviews main negative effects of violence on children’s mental health; differences between children’s experience of violence across the life cycle; main risk and protective factors; effectiveness of interventions to prevent and provide care to children who experience or are exposed to violence and provides recomendations on enabling and effective strategies to protect children’s mental health and well-being.

This course focuses on designing and implementing coherent and effective minimum wage policies.
(...) It explores major wage policy issues and instruments, including collective wage bargaining, and reviews new trends, developments and a diverse set of country experiences. The training will highlight effective wages policies, providing examples of different systems around the world.
