The 5th Centers of Excellence (CoEs) Steering Committee meeting for Europe Region was held virtually on Thursday, 8 July, 15:00 – 17:30 CEST, organized by ITU. (...) According to the Governance structure outlined in the document “Operational Processes and Procedures for the CoE Network 2018" (available on the ITU Academy website), Steering Committees are composed of the Centers of Excellence, Member States hosting a CoE and ITU, who are expected to attend the meetings. Our communications efforts are futher comprimised by the lack of and failure to produce compelling stories about the incredible and important work we are doing in Sudan for the office website. The selected candidate will be responsible for telling our story to the people of Sudan.
Work Assignment
Under the general authority of the Head of UNESCO Khartoum office, the contractor shall perform the following tasks, in addition to any other tasks assigned:
• Produce and edit social media content for use on UNESCO-Khartoum’s social media channels, namely Twitter and Facebook in English and Arabic, and the UNESCO-Khartoum’s office Website in English and Arabic; • Follow trending topics within the community, as well as what is trending on the UN community’s social media accounts (relevant to Sudan) and engaging when appropriate with care and supervision; • Draft narrative text/messaging for social through storytelling, images and video; • Develop and implement various social media campaigns, interacting with UNESCO-Khartoum’s sector/programme focal points; • Produce high quality web content, web stories and support the team in ensuring web content on UNESCO-Khartoum’s English and Arabic website is refreshed and reflects the orientation for human interest news and feature stories that best tell our story to the Sudanese people; • The Consultant will develop a close working relationship with colleagues working on the social media platforms of the other UN agencies, funds and programs, seeking opportunities for collaboration; • Participate in relevant strategic meetings for ongoing enhancement of UNESCO-Khartoum’s social media and web outreach; • Produce reports based on the native analytics relevant UNESCO-Khartoum’s posts and campaigns on social media, and the website (...) Today, the official ICTY Closing Ceremony took place at the prestigious Hall of Knights (Ridderzaal) of the Dutch Parliament in The Hague. (...)
