Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations
Office at Geneva addressed to the Office of the United
Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
Press-release dated 3 October 2020 of the Press Service Department of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan
There is an increasing number of reports indicating Armenia’s irresponsible attempts to
exploit journalists, both its own nationals and citizens of third countries in the course of its
ongoing military operations against the Republic of Azerbaijan. (...) We again call on journalists to avoid visiting the temporarily occupied territories of
Azerbaijan, thus not giving an opportunity to Armenia to exploit them, and those who are
operating in the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan to strictly comply with
the above-mentioned requirements and refrain from any action undermining the sovereignty
and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including through propagating the illegal use of
forces by Armenia against Azerbaijan.

to and allows Israeli settlers to exploit Palestinian lands, plunder Palestinian public and

lose some US$ 3.4 billion every year due to their inability to exploit these resources.

LETTER DATED 6 AUGUST 2021 FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF MEXICO TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL
Coninsx described how relevant resolutions of the Security
Council request CTED to integrate gender as a cross-cutting issue throughout its
activities, as terrorist groups exploit ideas about femininity and masculinity in their
narratives, recruitment strategies and operational methods, affirming there is a
growing awareness that integrating gender into counter-terrorism and countering
violent extremism (CVE) must therefore include a focus on masculinities. (...) He also stated that while much emphasis
has been made on the need to have a holistic gender approach, the notion of
“masculinities” has not been incorporated neither to the narrative nor assessment of
these issues, both at the General Assembly and the Security Council, even when
terrorist groups themselves deliberately exploit ideas and stereotypes about
masculinities in their propaganda and recruitment efforts.

This
terrorism resorts to modern means of communications - originally created to be at the
service of mankind and human development – by maliciously using such means to
spread its destructive ideas to a category of marginalized youth, from all nationalities,
and to exploit weaknesses to create a fertile ground for its propagation in the world.

REPORT OF THE SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON CONTEMPORARY FORMS OF SLAVERY, INCLUDING ITS CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES, GULNARA SHAHINIAN :ADDENDUM
Criminal penalties for slave labour are very mild, and therefore do little to deter
perpetrators, allowing them to exploit legal loopholes. The crime of slavery is punishable
by 2 to 8 years in prison; for such a light sentence, the statute of limitations on a crime in
Brazil expires after 12 years. (...) If the recruiter is himself
Bolivian, he will often have connections with the Andean communities, which he will
exploit to gain the trust of the people.20 Once recruited, the Bolivians are sent to Brazil.
76. (...) Bolivians have proved to be much easier to exploit than poor Brazilians for a
number of reasons.
