NOTE VERBALE DATED 2006/03/02 FROM THE PERMANENT MISSION OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC TO THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA ADDRESSED TO THE OFFICE OF THE HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
Paragraph 76 It should be stressed that the allegation in the report of widespread corruption in the judiciary cites no convictions of judges for crimes motivated by financial gain. Given that some Kyrgyz judges do commit acts that are unlawful and discredit their profession, while others commit violations of due process when considering cases, a mechanism for bringing disciplinary proceedings against members of the judiciary was established in 2003. (...) We agree with the recommendation on repealing the requirement that a lawyer should obtain permission from the investigator before gaining access to his or her client. Subparagraph 5 Metal cages in courtrooms prevent defendants from escaping or fighting with the aggrieved party, which sometimes occurs nowadays.

VISIT TO ITALY :REPORT OF THE SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON CONTEMPORARY FORMS OF SLAVERY, INCLUDING ITS CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES
Seasonality as such should not necessarily prevent migrant workers from gaining access to decent housing, although seasonality is often used as an explanation for not putting in place more permanent housing structures. 66. REPORT OF THE INTERSESSIONAL OPEN-ENDED INTERGOVERNMENTAL WORKING GROUP TO FOLLOW UP THE WORK OF THE PREPARATORY COMMITTEE
Indeed, expressions of racism and xenophobia have been identified as major root causes of human displacement; they create obstacles for asylum-seekers to gain admission to safety and asylum procedures and protection against refoulement; for persons of a certain race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin to acquire and/or retain a nationality; for refugees and internally displaced persons in finding quality protection in their places of displacement; and for refugees in finding durable solutions, in the form of sustainable return and reintegration in places of origin, successful local integration in countries of asylum, or resettlement in third countries.
