European Commission high level Conference Ryder: Youth Guarantees, a good example for urgently needed, targeted and immediate action At the high-level conference “The Youth Guarantee: Making it Happen,” hosted by the European Commission, the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Guy Ryder praised the European Youth Guarantee as a concrete action to connect young people with labour markets and society. (...) The ILO cooperates in multiple ways on the European Youth Guarantee: by formulating recommendations for policy makers and practitioners, by proposing methodologies for estimating the costs of the Youth Guarantees and by providing analysis of the investment needed. (...) He concluded by offering the ILO’s continued support in the next phases of the implementation and monitoring of the Youth Guarantees – in Europe and beyond.
