During the side event, participants will address the following topics: The impact of the socio-economic crisis on refugees and host communities in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and Iraq, and instruments and measures that were used to quickly adapt to unforeseen changes; The importance of both short and long term employment creation for resilience of individuals and host communities affected by forced displacement; The importance of linking young people with job opportunities, which means improving the linkages between the demand side (jobs, entrepreneurship opportunities) as well as the supply side of the labour market (market-relevant and accessible education, training, skills); Good practices and lessons learned from collaboration between humanitarian and development partners with a focus on innovative partnerships that bridge the humanitarian-development peace nexus; Impact of jobs creation programmes on social cohesion; Refugees and host countries experiences.

BUSCAR CERRAR Buscar en UNICEF Fulltext search Max Programa Estrategia NUTRES (mHealth o salud móvil) Para la prevención de la mala nutrición infantil en México UNICEF México / Balam-ha Carrillo La salud y el estado de nutrición de las niñas y los niños durante los primeros 5 años de vida, sientan las bases para el desarrollo físico y mental que tendrán en su vida como adultos. 1 Una adecuada nutrición durante la primera infancia, iniciando con una lactancia materna exclusiva por 6 meses,  reduce el riesgo de enfermedades infecciosas y mala nutrición (desnutrición, sobrepeso, obesidad y deficiencia de micronutrientes) en etapas posteriores de la vida. 2,   Por otro lado, también se ha observado que la lactancia materna y buena nutrición se asocia con un mejor desarrollo cognitivo y coeficiente intelectual a largo plazo, lo cual a su vez, está asociado con el nivel educativo y los ingresos que el individuo percibe en la vida adulta. 3 Sin embargo, la mala nutrición infantil, que representa un problema global con consecuencias en la supervivencia, desarrollo saludable, incidencia de enfermedades en el corto, mediano y largo aplazo y a largo plazo repercuten en la productividad económica tanto a nivel individual como social, 4  afecta actualmente al 6.8% de las niñas y niños menores de 5 años quienes padecen sobrepeso y obesidad y 14.2% con desnutrición crónica de acuerdo con la Encueta Nacional de Salud y Nutrición 2018-19.

Many governments have adopted active labour market policies to tackle discrimination against women and a growing number of employers’ and workers’ organizations are implementing initiatives on equal opportunity and treatment.
