The Representative of the Secretary-General therefore invites the authorities responsible for the elections to take the necessary steps to eliminate the obstacles to the participation of displaced persons in the electoral process (documentation, insecurity, regulations on where they are entitled to vote, etc.), to provide them with clear, timely information, and to ensure that they vote when the time comes. (...) The Representative of the Secretary-General encourages the parties concerned to pursue, with the help of the international community, efforts to find a political solution to the Ivorian crisis and invites all the actors involved to take into account the issue of displaced persons in this process and to come up with solutions that safeguard their rights. 65.
