And yet, the productive transformation of both agriculture and the rural non-farm economy cannot be fully effectively without their active involvement. Improving the quality of agricultural jobs – generally among the least protected, poorly remunerated, most hazardous and of low status – is essential to attract rural youth. (...) They can also ensure the involvement of social partners in rural development, which is a prerequisite to the success of these policies. There are many national and international actors involved in rural development; many focusing on improving the plight of smallholder farmers.

Namely, according to findings from a 2018 survey conducted by Ipsos with the support of UNICEF, fewer than one-third of parents (30%) were involved in helping their children choose what to watch, that is – in limiting their exposure to media content as well as the time they spend watching TV and using the internet. (...) In 2018, only 30 percent of male parents / guardians were involved in limiting the content that a child could watch, and only 29 percent of them limited the time a child spent in front of the TV and using the internet, while now twice as many of them do so – the majority of male parents / guardians, 68 percent, now limit exposure to media content, while 64 percent also limit the screen time.
