Furthermore, an optimal estimation requires prior knowledge of channel sparsity which pilot approach to reduce the pilot overhead is derived. (...) FAO launches a new Massive Open Online Course on water accounting and auditing

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education launched a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on water accounting and auditing . This self-paced and free course aims to increase knowledge about water accounting and auditing. The course has been developed under the framework of the regional project “Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for water efficiency/productivity and sustainability in the Near East and North Africa region (WEPS-NENA)”.
(...) After completing this course, participants will understand how to conduct a water accounting analysis and how water auditing can improve decision-making around water management and water governance.
This Massive Open Online Course on water accounting and auditing targets a wide range of water professionals, including technical users and policy makers who are working in the water resource management and related fields and have an interest to learn how water accounting can improve water management at the local level.

UNITAID, UNICEF and WHO announce massive scale-up in fight against HIV in mothers and children

31 July 2008 -- As the world's leaders and AIDS community gather in Mexico for the biennial global conference on HIV and AIDS, UNITAID, UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) today announced an infusion of $50 million aimed at halting mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
