with less than 80 % ammonium nitrate mixed with calcium sulphate
Nitrogen (N) and Sulphur (S) are essential plant nutrients which play a vital role in protein
formation. (...) During the growth period, the continuous availability of both nutrients according to plant needs
is important because:

EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS :PILOT STUDIES ON EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS : NOTE / BY THE SECRETARIAT
In the target areas, the relationship between natural resources and sustainability returns to
the digestible nutrients in plants. The amount of digestible nutrients which can be consumed
(grazing capacity) depends upon vegetation types, species composition, the current amount of
nutrients and productivity. (...) More concretely, apart from such direct consequences of human interference as cattle
grazing, reduced productivity and the diminished luxuriance of species composition/vegetation
types, indirect influences are being strongly felt, in terms of physio-chemical changes in soil
(soil nutrient degradation, salinization), physical changes (aggregate formation restriction, crust,
compaction) and soil erosion. (...) Under the environments, where weather condition (radiation

and nutrient) will be controlled so that the environment in the target area is simulated in the
laboratory, the activity of the plant physiology, such as transpiration rate and photosynthesis rate,

THE COMMITTEE ON WORLD FOOD SECURITY HIGH-LEVEL PANEL OF EXPERTS STUDY ON SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY FOR FOOD SECURITY AND NUTRITION
Provision of ecosystem services: Forests and trees directly support food production
at farm, landscape and broader levels by delivering numerous non-provisioning ecosystem
services that are essential for FSN and sustainable development in the long term (such as
water regulation, soil protection, nutrient circulation, pest control and pollination). (...) Production systems that integrate forests, trees and crops
need to explicitly take into account potential competition for nutrients, water and light.

impact human health in a diversity of ways, including: provisioning of food, medicinal
plants, fuelwood, clean water and income. (...) ECE/TIM/2017/19
