Activities are constantly carried out with the goal to improve and refine estimation methods, as well as those processing and analyses mechanisms adopted for the preparation of statistics relating to investment finance and prices, as well as macro statistics. New methodologies are developed to enable the coding of FAO’s regular programme activities and to revise the ODA’s coefficient, including the development of internal guidelines to enable Creditor Reporting System (CRS) purpose and sector coding.

The FAO project “Developing Capacity for Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Selected Countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia, funded by the Russian Federation provided technical support to National Statistical Committee (NSC) for the revision of the food balance methodology to improve food security and nutrition awareness.
