REVIEW OF DRAFT UNCITRAL SECRETARIAT NOTES ON THE MAIN ISSUES OF CLOUD COMPUTING CONTRACTS
To make the implementation of online tools projects possible within the existing
resources and to ensure the long-term sustainability of such projects, online tools
should be simple to launch and maintain in-house in the six official languages of the
United Nations without significant input required from IT specialists. (...) Since the text that served the basis of the pilot online tool is a draft, it was
considered premature to invest more time and resources on the development of the
online tool and producing it in five other official languages of the U nited Nations.
(...) If the Commission decides to proceed with the
online tool for cloud computing notes, an improved online tool incorporating the final
content of cloud computing notes as reviewed and approved by the Commission for
publication would be released in the six official languages of the United Nations in
compliance with the United Nations requirements on multilingualism, accessibility
and other applicable standards.
