China believes that the adoption by all countries of an appropriate level of transparency and confidence-building measures with respect to their outer space activities will help to increase mutual trust, reduce misunderstandings, promote cooperation in the peaceful use of outer space, and to a certain extent help to prevent the weaponization of outer space and assist in the verification of an outer space arms control treaty in the future.
