Improvements in the TVET provision will benefit an estimated 21,000 persons.
Notably, in both Lebanon and Jordan, the ILO – with funding from the German Development Bank (KFW) – has launched two Employment Intensive Infrastructure Programmes to create jobs for Syrian refugees and host communities and upgrade infrastructure. (...) The ILO’s “Guiding principles on the access of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons to the labour market ,” adopted in July 2016.

The ILO is supporting the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) and the Lebanon Grassroots Initiative (LGI) by providing them with one thousand sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).
It also conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in construction, and COVID-19 preventive and protective measures, for one hundred OEA members.
