In relation to its work on minor victims of human trafficking, the Expertise Unit on Youth Prostitution has compiled a list of educational and preventive activities concerning youth prostitution and lover boys. Lover boys are pimps who use seduction techniques to charm girls and eventually persuade them to prostitute themselves. (...) The Association of Netherlands Municipalities has developed information packs about the lover boy issue, describing projects and strategies being carried out by support organizations and local authorities. Many municipalities are providing information about lover boys and victim assistance in fulfillment of their preventive tasks under the Public Health (Preventive Measures) Act and the Social Support Act.
