Furthermore, the project team is working with the general contractor and the procurement team to identify proposals for value engineering to offset some of the cost overruns resulting from the increase in the currency exchange rate.

The Commission, the Office of Central Support Services and the contractors were cooperating in implementing value engineering in order to control costs. (...)
