The Respondent avers
that the only opportunity the driver would have had to note all the given details of the
said printer would have been if the Applicant had actually given the printer (packed
inside a box) to him. (...) Based on the report of the IGO, the Respondent found sufficient evidence that
the Applicant had stolen a UNHCR printer from the FOJ. There was a credible
written testimony from a witness who provided the particulars of the printer
accurately. (...) The driver stated that he found a UNCHR printer and many different
books in the carton and that he took the particulars of the printer.

PROGRAMME BUDGET FOR THE BIENNIUM 1976-1977 : TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE PUBLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS
This would reduce the volume of work now contracted to external
printers, and would handle the printing of major publications such as official
records and statistical compilations. (...) Instead of shipping documents to overseas offices by pouch, the
Distribution Section would send microfiches to be reconverted by a fiche-printer
into printed documents. Also, instead of storing documents for later distribution
and sales, the documents could be stored in fiche version and printed by a fiche-
printer as required. (...) :Q.Ul.i'HENT

REPORT OF THE OFFICE OF INTERNAL OVERSIGHT SERVICES ON THE AUDIT OF THE STANDARD COSTS APPLIED TO HEADQUARTERS OVERHEAD
As standard practice, the Organization budgets one medium-duty printer for
each new desktop computer. OIOS finds the current practice to be generous and
believes that the Department of Management needs to develop a policy clarifying
the determination of an efficient printer/desktop ratio.
48. Furthermore, OIOS obtained information on current market prices and recent
bidding results concerning printers. Both exercises showed a unit cost for medium-
duty printers of between $620 and $650 instead of the $900 shown in the budget for
the support account. (...) Provisions for office supplies, such as
printer cartridges, should be apportioned to the supply budget line and not
improperly to the IT budget line.
