The joint political statement also agreed to protect the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement 1998.4 The no diminution of rights commitment was enshrined in the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland contained in the Draft Withdrawal Agreement published in 2018.5 This commitment was limited to the rights, safeguards and equality of opportunity section in the Good Friday (Belfast) Agreement 1998, including with regards to EU law on non- discrimination.6 The Protocol included a commitment to implement the commencement through “dedicated mechanisms”, the details of which have yet to be confirmed. In addition, the Protocol also sets out six EU law directives where the non-diminution commitment would be put into effect. (...) A majority of the Supreme Court judges recognised that the law on termination of pregnancy in NI is incompatible with Article 8 ECHR, as it does not provide access to abortion services to women and girls in situations of rape, incest and fatal foetal abnormality. (...) The UN Human Rights Committee has recommended that budget reduction should not inhibit the NIHRC from carrying out all its functions independently of Government.18 The Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions has echoed this position, highlighting the need for the NI Office to provide an appropriate level of funding for NIHRC, so that it can continue to carry out its mandate effectively in accordance with the UN Paris Principles.19 NIHRC powers In 2018, the UK Supreme Court ruled that the NIHRC does not have the relevant standing to bring a legal challenge to primary legislation without a victim.20 This seriously impacts on the NIHRC’s ability to act in accordance with the UN Paris Principles.

REVIEW OF THE JOINT IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES
The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) shall exercise authority over, and provide guidance to, the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (hereinafter referred to as JISC). (...) A Party participating in JI shall provide to the secretariat, in English, the information specified in paragraph 31 above within 90 days of the adoption, revision or update thereof. 33. (...) [A Party, identified by the JISC in accordance with paragraph 13(e) above as not being in conformity with the mandatory requirements and procedures of JI, shall immediately take action to rectify the identified non-conformities and shall provide written evidence to the JISC to demonstrate that the identified non-conformities have been rectified.

These reports shall indicate: • Total incomes during the reporting period by indicating the amount of income from all sources; • All expenditures of the worker union or employer association; • Activities of the worker union or employer association; and • Number of members; (b) Worker union or employer association must provide details of its bank account within 45 (forty-five) days following the issuance of registration; and (c) Update information required by this law and whenever there is any change made thereto within 15 (fifteen) working days, except a change in the number of members. Similar to other jurisdictions, obtaining a most representative status (MRS) will provide an exclusive right to represent the workers in collective disputes and to negotiate collective bargaining agreements. While the MRS worker union has an exclusive right to represent all workers, the minority unions can also provide advice to their members in complement to the exercise of an exclusive right by the MRS worker union.
