All Parties to strive to achieve low greenhouse gas climate-resilient economies and societies, on the basis of equity and in accordance with their historical responsibilities, co mmon but differentiated responsibilities / evolving common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, in order to achieve su s- tainable development, poverty eradication and prosperity for the benefit of present and future generations of humankind, taking fully into account the historical responsibility of developed country Parties and their leadership in combating climate change and the adverse effects thereof, and bearing in mind that economic and social development and poverty eradication are the first and overriding priorities of developi ng country Parties. 3. Option 3: All Parties to take action and cooperate to further implement the Convention in order to reach its ultimate objective as stated in its Article 2, on the basis of equity and in accordance with their common but differe n- tiated responsibilities / evolving common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, by achieving an emission pathway consistent with limiting the global average temperature increase to below 2 °C or 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels and with achieving climate resilience. 4. IDEAS AND PROPOSALS ON THE ELEMENTS CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 1 OF THE BALI ACTION PLAN :UNITED NATIONS FRAMEWORK CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE : SUBMISSIONS FROM PARTIES : ADDENDUM
Furthermore, shared vision should be able to pave ways and means to strengthen the timely implementation of the Convention through the mutually reinforcing four elements of the Bali Action Plan towards the achievement of the ultimate objective of the Convention in accordance with the principles of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities. The global scale of climate change impacts shows that a new unprecedented scale of common global efforts beyond political borders is urgently needed. (...) However, as stipulated in Convention and Bali Action Plan, actions on mitigation by developing and developed countries must be based on the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, which clearly imply that developed countries, should take the lead. (...) Indonesia is of the view that a genuine partnership among countries and relevant stakeholders is needed to further prevent dangerous human interference with climate system on the basis of equity, and in accordance with the principles of common but differentiate responsibilities and respective capabilities. Having the third largest tropical forests in the world and a vast array of oceanic resources, Indonesia always strives to contribute to the best of its ability in the regional and global efforts to maintain atmospheric and climatic dynamic balance, and increase its carbon sequestration.

RACISM, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, XENOPHOBIA AND RELATED FORMS OF INTOLERANCE, FOLLOW-UP AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DURBAN DECLARATION AND PROGRAMME OF ACTION : INFORMATION PRESENTED BY THE COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS (OMBUDSMAN) OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN : NOTE / BY THE SECRETARIAT
On the basis of the received appeal the Commissioner prepared relevant information and proposals on the Resolution “On Strengthening of the activity of the United Nations in the sphere of Human Rights by promotion of international cooperation and impartiality, objectiveness and unacceptability of discrimination” No. 58/168 adopted at the 58th session A/HRC/14/NI/3 4 GE. 10-13274 of the UNGA, the implementation methods of the best practice gained in combat against impunity on the basis of the “Impunity” Resolution No. 2005/81 of the UN Human Rights Commission and Collection “Of the Principles of promotion and protection of Human Rights by combating impunity” in the country, the activity carried out by the Azerbaijani Ombudsman in compliance with “The Recommendations adopted during the third meeting of Intergovernmental Working Group for efficient implementation of Durban Declaration and Action Program on combat against racism in the Internet” on the basis of received appeal from Human Rights High Commissioner, as well as on “The Strategy on Human Rights, Combat Against Racism and Discrimination” that were sent to respective state bodies. The Commissioner sent appeal to the Parliament, the Ministries of the Foreign Affairs and Education on prevention of discrimination in the sphere of provision of human rights and freedoms, as well as on ratification of the Convention of UNESCO “Against discrimination in Education” dated December 14, 1960 considering the necessity of signing this Convention and this Convention was ratified by the Parliament. (...) In the past period significant measures were taken by respective state bodies in this direction. Working Group was established for coordination of the implementation of NAP and it is functioning successfully under the guidance of the Ombudsman as an independent unit.

The purpose of this MOU is to stipulate the terms of the relationship between the COP and UNEP with respect to the hosting of the CTC in UNEP in accordance with decision X/CP.18. (...) Government representatives shall be nominated by their respective groups or constituencies and elected by the Conference of the Parties (COP). (...) Members of the advisory board referred to in paragraph 1(b) and 1(e) above shall serve in accordance with their term of office in their respective bodies. 8. [Members of the advisory board referred to in paragraph 1(c) and 1(d) above shall serve for a term of [up to] two years, or as required to ensure equitable distribu- tion between Annex I and non-Annex I Parties.
