The purpose of this MOU is to stipulate the terms of the relationship between the COP and UNEP with respect to the hosting of the CTC in UNEP in accordance with decision X/CP.18. (...) Geneva Group of Friends (GGF) is an informal, voluntary and open-ended association of like-minded Member States created to assist to the relevant international organizations and their bodies located in Geneva to effectively implement within their respective mandates the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons (A/RES/64/293) and, in a more general sense, to reinforce and consolidate their counter- trafficking activities.

It is also critical to reaffirm and adhere to the humanitarian principles. 4. We underscore that respect for international law, including international humanitarian law, is essential to contain and mitigate outbreaks of COVID-19. (...) We also call upon Member States and other relevant stakeholders to take steps to prevent, within their respective legal frameworks, speculation and undue stockpiling that may hinder access to safe, effective and affordable essential medi- cines, vaccines, personal protective equipment and medical equipment, as well as other humanitarian supplies and equipment as may be required to effectively address COVID-19. (...) We stress the need for coordinated efforts by all relevant United Nations system entities to address the COVID-19 outbreak, in line with their respective mandates, and for them to accelerate their response to the pandemic. 12.

During the meeting, reports (not confined to the field reports) were purposely requested to submit quarterly and annually aiming to help their work being in line with their respective MOUs, to ensure better understanding and cooperation with the department counterparts at all levels and to comprehend the financial and technical input of INGOs into Myanmar in a holistic view as a crucial matter in planning process for the national health development. (...) In reality the workers' associations have been allowed to form in respective industrial zones with a view to protecting the rights of workers. (...) Regarding the so- called political prisoners, the fact is that the prisoners referred in the report are the offenders who are serving their respective sentences for their infringement of the existing laws and not for their political beliefs or activities.

Food security, health and gender. 5) Given the success we have seen in bringing discussions under one roof, we think it would also be a good time to further streamline the agenda, replacing existing subitems with a single item “forum and work programme on the impacts of the implementation of response measures” under the agendas of SBI and SBSTA, respectively. 6) We should redouble our efforts to share substantive information and seek more interaction among Parties, including specific reinforcement of the role of experts in the respective fields. To this end, we should invite to the appropriate workshops relevant international organisations with broad membership of both developed and developing countries such as ILO, WHO and WTO to regularly report to us on the state of their respective discussions and on respective activities. 9) We should meet once a year, during the June session of the SBs, similar to the Durban Forum on capacity building, as COPs are busy and discussions there tend to be rushed and procedural, not open and inquisitive. Further decides, in line with decision 2/CP.17, to consolidate all agenda items and sub-items of the SBI and the SBSTA relating to the impact of the implementation of response measures under a single agenda item on the respective agendas entitled “Forum and work programme on the impact of the implementation of response measures”, so that all discussions and negotiations on the impact of the implementation of response measures continue to take place in one space; 7.

As it was once again emphasized by this respective international body, right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and security is at the basis of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

It is an important deterrent against what they rightly regard as the most serious crimes for their respective societies. Some arguments against the death penalty tend to one-sidedly focus on the rights of the offender.

The draft summary report should be shared with the respective non-Annex I Party or Parties for comment, to be provided within three months of its receipt. 14. (...)
