My work has been rewarding because our efforts do have an impact. Guatemala City, Guatemala: I have been working as a UNV Nutritionist with the World Food Programme (WFP) in Guatemala since February 2009. (...) My work in the WFP has been very interesting, challenging and rewarding. It has been interesting because I have met and worked with so many wonderful and talented Guatemalans and people from other countries, and I have had the opportunity to travel all over the beautiful countryside. (...) Guatemala has one of the world’s highest rates of chronic under nutrition in children below the age of five. My work has been rewarding because our efforts do have an impact. I am very proud to belong to the WFP family and I feel very privileged to have such professional and hardworking colleagues.

I found the interactions at the UNV booth tremendously rewarding. Many delegates visited the booth because of respect for volunteers who commit themselves to humanitarian work. (...) My interaction with the various delegates, the team from UNV headquarters, fellow UN Volunteers from Nepal, two experienced and dedicated national UN Volunteers serving in Turkey, and also the opportunity to outline the importance and rewards associated with volunteerism were all rewarding and educating.

Further, the recommendation from the application of RHA is to design a realistic approach in designing a reward for watershed services scheme. To accomplish the objective of the study, the RHA method was implemented through the survey and gathering of data which lead to the analyses of the consequences of current land cover change. This study gave basic understanding in designing rewards for environmental service schemes (RES) in the Krueng Peusangan watershed.
