Current evidence on schedule and dosing Two double-blind randomized controlled studies of monovalent MenA conjugate vaccine have been con- ducted: a dose-ranging study in 1200 healthy infants and young children in Ghana and a dose-confirmation study in 1500 healthy infants and young children in Mali.4 The studies were designed to assess safety and immunoge- nicity of different doses of antigen and different vac- cination schedules before 2 years of age. (...) The Mali study evaluated 2 dosages of PsA-TT vaccine: MenAfriVac 10 µg and MenAfriVac 5 µg in a 1-dose schedule at 9 months of age or a 2-dose schedule at 9 and 15 months of age, co-administered with other routinely used vaccines. (...) When the seroconversion endpoint was used, a 1-dose schedule of either MenAfri- Vac 10 µg or MenAfriVac 5 µg was non-inferior to a 2-dose schedule of MenAfriVac 10 µg.
