LETTER DATED 19 APRIL 2017 FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF LIECHTENSTEIN TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL
They also commented on the Working Group’s working schedule. It was deemed advisable to prepare a clear working schedule for the Working Group in dialogue with the Office of the Special Representative, with the aim of knowing well in advance when to plan for the issu- ance of reports of the Secretary-General so as to be ready for conclusion negotia- tion. Furthermore, they deemed it advisable to schedule the bulk of the workload during the first half of the year. (...) It would be much easier to schedule meetings in the first semester. The former Chairs also recommended that, if necessary, multiple conclusions be negotiated simultane- ously; (b) Mainstreaming children and armed conflict into the list of matters of which the Security Council is seized.
