Safe, secure, efficient and smooth railway transport needs common and coordinated facilitation measures among member countries in the region. (...) We reiterate that the existing processes related to graduation and smooth transition should be strengthened so that graduating and recently graduated countries will not face any disruption of their development trajectory, including challenges and uncertainties in achieving the SDGs; 47. Furthermore, in the past few years, and in order to ensure the smooth integration of the Muslim minority, Greece went to great lengths to adapt the protection of the Muslim minority to modern human rights standards and to provide them with better living conditions. (...) In keeping with international and EU educational standards, the various activities and games at Greek kindergartens serve as a smooth introduction to primary education. Kindergarten teachers, members of the Muslim minority in Thrace, are encouraged to work at kindergartens in areas where there are many Muslims. (...) The Special Rapporteur notes the information received that the HCCJ was given an additional building in November 2011, and hopes that this development will contribute to the smooth and independent functioning of the Court. 45. The Special Rapporteur also welcomes efforts made to ensure the smooth flow of information among the institutions of the justice chain, including rapid access to legislation, jurisprudence and information regarding the trials by the personnel of the courts and prosecution offices.

Further to fully complying with the relevant provisions of the Lausanne Treaty, Greece’s policy and legislation reflect and implement contemporary human rights norms and standards, the very values of the European Union and its acquis, aimed at improving the living conditions of the members of the minority and their smooth integration into all aspects of both local and national society.
