Temperature monitoring devices are needed to keep track of the temperature to which the vaccines and diluents are exposed. (...) This instrument records the temperature on paper, the paper is passed under a pen and the pen is deflected in proportion to the temperature and the result is a graph or chart of the temperature. (...) Procurement Manual: Temperature Monitoring Devices Page 8 They consist of an electronic temperature measuring circuit with associated LCD display.

Note that the highest mean monthly temperature for May was 33.5°C recorded in 2021. The mean maximum temperature of the month was 34.6°C which is 1.5°C below the long-term normal. (...) The mean temperature of the month was 27.3°C which is 1.3°C above the long-term normal for April and this goes on record as the fourth highest mean temperature for April since 1902. (...) Note that the highest mean monthly temperature for March was 24.6°C recorded in 2018. The mean maximum temperature of the month was 26.9°C which is 1.4°C above the long-term normal and this goes on record as the seventh highest mean temperature for March since 1946.

Packing and packaging methods can greatly influence air flow rates around the commodity, thereby affecting temperature and relative humidity management of produce while in storage or in transit. 3.2 Temperature and relative humidity management Temperature is the most important environmental factor that influences the deterioration of harvested commodities. (...) Chilling injury Some commodities (chiefly those native to the tropics and subtropics) respond unfavorably to storage at low temperatures which are well above their freezing points, but below a critical temperature termed their chilling threshold temperature or lowest safe temperature (Table 2). (...) Precision temperature management (PTM) tools, including time-temperature monitors, are increasingly being employed in cooling and storage facilities.

The five days of unusually high temperatures followed days with record-breaking temperatures further east in Europe. (...) Météo-France verified a new national temperature record of 46°C in Vérargues and a temperature of 45.9° Celsius in nearby Gallargues-le-Montueux on 28 June . (...) Many observing stations broke all-time maximum temperature station records, or June records. Numerous overnight minimum temperature records were broken.

They are controlled to achieve optimum temperature of CPUs using information of location, temperature and electricity consumption of each CPU. If the temperature of each CPU is too high, the performance of the CPU gets lower (Figure 14). The technology controls the container air‐conditioning fan to ensure that the system never reaches an operating temperature where CPU performance is compromised. In addition, there is optimum temperature of CPU to minimize the total power consumption (Figure 15).

Such information should include the Self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT) or Self-accelerating polymerization temperature (SAPT), any temperature control measures applied, including operations controls considered and/or imposed, together with the duration of effectiveness of chemical inhibitors. 10.4.2 Carriers are encouraged to use the SADT/SAPT to validate that the corresponding regulatory requirements are met as a condition of acceptance. (...) Cargo transported at a temperature above ambient are not considered heat sources under the regulations. 13 Other than Elevated Temperature Substances and DG cargoes identified as molten, carriers would not be aware of other cargo transported at a temperature above ambient. (...) Where chemical stabilization becomes ineffective at lower temperatures within the anticipated duration of transport, temperature control is required.

To answer this the classification criteria for UN3258 Elevated temperature solid, n.o.s. was considered and in view of the fact that a substance need only be classified as UN3258 if the temperature exceeds 240° Celsius, substances with a lesser temperature are therefore not regulated (from a temperature point of view) and so the substance in question was judged not to produce a ”dangerous evolution of heat”. This issue highlights the subjectivity of Part 1;2.1 which effectively makes this text unenforceable and it is suggested consideration be given to addressing this. 1.2 One possibility would be to amend the entries in Table 3-1 for UN3256 Elevated temperature liquid, flammable, n.o.s, UN3257 Elevated temperature liquid, n.o.s, and UN3258 Elevated temperature solid, n.o.s such that they would be forbidden for carriage under any circumstance. (...) However, it is suggested this text may not be possible to clarify in the same way as elevated temperature substances, where straightforward criteria (ie temperature) can be stated. 2.
