Despite the many successes of the processes to uncover the truth about the past, more needs to be done. While the Memory Institute ought to play a role in this regard, further investigations and other processes must be carried out to more fully uncover what occurred, especially in the years before 1999. (...) Families also ought to be further assisted with their needs to uncover the truth about what happened to their loved ones.

This includes: • Victims of March 1965 disturbances buried in the Chouhada Cemetery in Casablanca; • Victims of June 20, 1981 social riots in Casablanca; • Victims of January 1984 civil disturbances in Nador; • Victims dead in the aftermath of March 1973 incidents. 2.2 Unresolved cases in the IER Final Report (66 cases) In its Final Report, the IER concluded that the cases of enforced disappearance about which it was not able to uncover complete truth totaled 66. It recommended that investigations be pursued to reveal the fate of these victims. (...) However, on the basis of information analysis, the CCDH Follow-up Committee came to the conclusion that there was no political motivation behind the disappearance of the other seven cases. 2.2.3 Cases wherein neither the IER nor the Follow-up Committee could uncover the fate of the victims or establish full truth about them Out of 66 cases, 9 cases only could not be partially or fully clarified due their complexity or to the fact that date back long way. 2.2.4 Proposals and Recommendations In addition to the implementation of recommendations relating to the archives, history and memory preservation, as laid out in the final chapter of this report, the CCDH made the following proposals and recommendations: • Set up a mechanism to support families whose cases are unresolved or require further efforts to settle some legal problems • Organize a symposium with experts from the forensic medicine department and the national genetic laboratories of the Gendarmerie Royale and forensic police • Promote the management of cemeteries by involving all parties concerned. 3.

During 2001 and 2002, the authorities started to uncover a series of planned bombings and violent attacks, traced to a new far-right, white-power group called Boeremag. (...) The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the South African Police Service during that time managed to uncover several planned attacks. Some 20 suspected Boeremag members are currently on trial.10 Two suspects escaped from police custody in May 2006.

While the State is under an obligation to uncover the truth, in many cases it is not possible to individually identify each one of the victims. (...) Restrictions on access to information imposed by officials of the Ministry of Defence, alleging that the information has disappeared or does not exist, indicates a lack of will on the part of the State to uncover the truth and to ensure that thousands of Peruvian victims, direct and/or indirect, of the political violence have unrestricted access to justice.

The Special Rapporteur also received information according to which children are also trafficked internally and that, in most cases, their exploitation occurs in private dwellings, making such cases difficult to uncover. B. Other exploitative slave-like situations 1.

Officials who were interviewed acknowledged that, in practice, it was difficult to uncover cases of unlawful marriage. Police do not always consider it as a criminal offence, but instead as part of traditional customs.

Unfortunately, the Government is not taking any active measures to uncover possible grave sites until it is compelled to investigate by a court order.
