Height and length measurement devices are furthermore used for general growth and health monitoring activities in communities and clinics. (...) UNICEF currently supplies different anthropometric equipment including two portable height/length measuring boards and a stadiometer to support various programmes and surveys. (...) The main reasons leading to inaccurate measurements using traditional measuring boards have been identified as: Inaccurate positioning of the body against the board Infant and children moving during the measurement assessment Inaccurate readings caused by:  Reading the measurement from an incorrect angle Difficulty seeing/reading the measuring tape which in some cases leads to rounding up or down to the nearest 5 or 0 Assessment performed in dim light settings Inability to document/estimate correct age Data entry error by user. Every wheelchair space in accordance with paragraph 5.16.10. shall be provided with a communication device, at a height of 70 cm-100 cm above the floor, in such a position that it is readily available to the wheelchair user. 5.16.4.5. It shall provide a hand-hold for the wheelchair user from the backrest to a point not less than 54 cm rearward of the stop device at a height not less than 70 cm or more than 80 cm above the floor. 5.16.10.5.8.2. It may be under the control of the driver shall, in an emergency, be capable of being operated by the wheelchair user. 5.16.11. Vehicles of Class III and vehicles of Class I and II with a floor height at the wheelchair space exceeding 50 cm above the ground. 5.16.11.1.

This free height shall extend over the vertical projection of the whole of the seat and the associated foot space. (...) The forces specified in paragraph 3.8.3.6. are: 3.8.3.7.1. in the case of anchorages provided for a wheelchair restraint system fitted to a category M2 vehicle: 3.8.3.7.1.1. 1,110 ± 20 daN applied in the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and towards the front of the vehicle at a height of not less than 200 mm and not more than 300 mm measured vertically from the floor of the wheelchair space, and 3.8.3.7.1.2. 550 ± 20 daN applied in the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and towards the rear of the vehicle at a height of not less than 200 mm and not more than 300 mm measured vertically from the floor of the wheelchair space; 3.8.3.7.2. in the case of anchorages provided for a wheelchair restraint system fitted to a category M3 vehicle 3.8.3.7.2.1. 740 ± 20 daN applied in the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and towards the front of the vehicle at a height of not less than 200 mm and not more than 300 mm measured vertically from the floor of the wheelchair space, and 3.8.3.7.2.2. 370 ± 20 daN applied in the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and towards the rear of the vehicle at a height of not less than 200 mm and not more than 300 mm measured vertically from the floor of the wheelchair space; 3.8.3.7.3. in the case of anchorages provided for a wheelchair user restraint system the forces shall be in accordance with the requirements of Regulation No. 14. (...) or 3.8.6. as appropriate; 3.8.4.1.4. a handrail or handhold shall be fitted to the side or wall of the vehicle or a partition in such a way to allow the wheelchair user to grasp it easily. This handrail shall not extend over the vertical projection of the wheelchair space, except by not more than 90 mm and only at a height not less than 850 mm above the floor of the wheelchair space; 3.8.4.1.5. a retractable handrail or any equivalent rigid device shall be fitted on the opposite side of the wheelchair space in order to restrict any lateral shift of the wheelchair and to allow the wheelchair user to grasp it easily; 3.8.4.1.6. a sign shall be fixed adjacent to the wheelchair area with the following text: ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2006/7 page 21 "This space is reserved for a wheelchair.
